The iPhone 13 might get a new camera and sensors

Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said that the camera system of the iPhone lineup to be unveiled in 2022 will undergo extensive changes.

According to him, a 48-megapixel camera can be seen in the high-end model of the iPhone, especially in the primary sensor of the Pro range.

The iPhone, which goes public in 2023, will have a Face ID sensor at the bottom of the screen, which will replace the sensor at the top of the screen.

Android phones have been using 48 megapixel sensors for years. But the sensor of the iPhone is still said to be big. According to Kuo, the upcoming iPhone will have 1/1.3 inch with 1.25 micrometer pixels.

According to Kuo, when the 12-megapixel photo sensor will be used, the current iPhone will use a pixel size of 2.5 micro meters.

He estimates that the phone will also come with a high resolution sensor for 8K video. Also, from 2022, the company will reduce the small screen size option of the iPhone.

Apple has now completely replaced the 5.4-inch Mini model with Apple 6.1 and 6.7 screen size options.
