Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 Leak: Thinner, Wider, and Almost All Screen

Samsung is gearing up to take the foldable phone game to the next level with the Galaxy Z Fold7, and if the latest leaks are accurate, it could be the company’s most refined and ambitious foldable yet.
Slimmest Foldable Ever?
One of the standout revelations comes from well-known leaker Ice Universe, who claims the Z Fold7 will be just 3.9mm thick when unfolded — a new record for book-style foldables. When folded, the device will measure 8.9mm, still impressively slim for a phone with two displays.
To put that into perspective, Samsung is outdoing even Oppo’s Find N5, which previously held the crown for the thinnest foldable at 4.2mm. The Fold7’s full unfolded dimensions are said to be 158.4 x 143.1 x 3.9 mm, making it both taller and wider than the Fold6. This could signal a subtle redesign, possibly aimed at improving multitasking or media consumption on the inner screen.
Bezels Take a Back Seat
Another major design upgrade? Smaller bezels. The Fold6 had inner screen bezels measuring around 1.9mm, but the Fold7 is expected to slash that down to just 1mm. That’s a massive step forward, especially for those who crave edge-to-edge content experiences. Even the upcoming Flip7 will reportedly trim its bezels to 1.2mm, showing that Samsung is now prioritizing a cleaner, more modern look across its foldable lineup.
Same Battery, Different Year
One area where Samsung isn’t pushing boundaries (yet) is battery life. The Fold7 is expected to stick with the same 4,400 mAh battery as the Fold6. While that capacity has proven adequate in the past, power users hoping for a longer-lasting foldable might have to wait another year for a true leap forward.
A New Era for Samsung Foldables?
These design changes suggest something clear: Samsung is finally listening to the competition. Brands like Oppo and Huawei have been leading the way in foldable thinness and screen design, and now Samsung is responding in kind.
If these leaks pan out, the Galaxy Z Fold7 won’t just be an upgrade — it could be a turning point in how Samsung approaches foldable hardware. A thinner profile, nearly bezel-free screen, and refined dimensions could make it the most comfortable and premium Fold yet.
Of course, we’ll have to wait for Samsung’s official announcement — expected later this summer — to see just how much of this holds true. But for now, the Fold7 is shaping up to be something special.
