Donald Trump banned for two years on Facebook
Former US President Donald Trump’s Facebook and Instagram accounts have been suspended for two years. Facebook has decided to limit the ban to two years after Facebook and Instagram imposed an indefinite ban on Trump since January.
Facebook’s oversight board had previously criticized the move to impose an indefinite ban on Trump. Donald Trump, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and others are banning Trump because he made offensive remarks about violence and incidents in the US Congress by Trump supporters.
Facebook has said that Trump’s activities are a serious violation of Facebook’s rules.
Donald Trump has said his ban on social media is an abuse of millions of voters who cast their vote in the presidential election. According to Facebook, the two year ban on Donald Trump will take effect from January 7.
