As per the report, the telecom service provider has also allocated spectrum for Punjab, Haryana and Union Territory of Chandigarh. telecom service providers have been allocated 700 MHz band, 3.3 to 3.6 GHz band and 24.25 to 28.5 GHz band frequencies for various locations.

On May 4, 2021, India’s Department of Telecommunications agreed to test 5G for applications from Reliance Jio, Bharti Airtel, Vodafone Idea and MTNL. However, India’s Department of Telecommunications has directed that 5G be tested without any Chinese company’s technology.

The department has also given consent to companies like Ericsson, Nokia, Samsung and C-Dot for the 5G test. Reliance Jio Infocomm will test 5Gusing Indian technology. The tested 5G technology in India is expected to be 10 times faster than the Forge.

6 months have been given for the testing of 5G. In which a period of two months has been given for the purchase and connection of equipment. It has been made mandatory for service providers to test 5G in rural and remote areas as well.
