The second season of the Nepal Premier League (NPL) will now be available live on a Nepali television channel in addition to Star Sports. The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has revised its earlier agreement to allow one Nepali TV channel to broadcast the tournament.

Just four days before the start of the league, CAN amended its previously issued tender to include Nepali broadcasters. Earlier, the contract was open only to foreign channels, which led to objections from Nepali television operators. In response, CAN has decided to modify the contract and invite local channels to participate.

The tender documents can be purchased until 3 PM on Friday, and proposals must be submitted by Saturday noon. CAN is scheduled to open the bids on Saturday at 1 PM.

As in the previous season, Star Sports will continue to broadcast the NPL internationally. However, Nepali audiences will now also be able to watch the exciting league matches live on a domestic television channel.
