Honor Reportedly Developing New Smartphone with 10,000mAh Battery Capacity

Smartphone manufacturer Honor is reportedly working on a new device featuring an ultra-high-capacity battery. The upcoming model, expected to be named Honor Power 2, is said to include a 10,000mAh battery — a major leap from its predecessor’s 8,000mAh unit.

According to information circulating on Chinese tech forums, despite its massive battery, the phone will maintain a slim profile of around 8.0mm, suggesting that Honor has made significant progress in design optimization.

The upcoming handset is also rumored to feature the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 chipset, which has yet to be officially unveiled. Early reports further indicate that the device may include a 1.5K LTPS flat display, an optical fingerprint sensor, and a drop-resistant body.

The Honor Power 2 will reportedly serve as the successor to the first-generation Honor Power, launched earlier this year. The earlier model came with an 8,000mAh battery, 66W wired charging, and a 6.78-inch AMOLED display offering a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR support, and 4,000 nits peak brightness.

It was powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor and featured a 50MP + 5MP rear camera setup along with a 16MP front camera. The top variant also offered 512GB storage and satellite connectivity.

Although Honor has not officially confirmed any specifications or release date, industry analysts expect the Honor Power 2 to be launched in the first quarter of 2026. The new model is anticipated to focus on achieving a balance between battery capacity, device performance, and sleek design.
