Google podcast has been shutdown since today

The Google Podcast app is coming to an end. The app, which was launched in 2018, is going to be closed today, i.e. 24 June. This app has been downloaded more than 500 million times on Google Play Store.

In September of last year, the technology giant announced that Google Podcasts would be discontinued sometime in 2024 in favor of YouTube Music. The company has taken this step in an effort to make YouTube Music an all-in-one destination for podcasts, music and videos.

Users are asked to move their podcasts to Google-owned YouTube Music. Fans can move their podcasts to the YouTube Music app using Google Podcasts Manager. This facility will be available till 29 July.
